A Sample Ship's Code

As a member of my Sea Scout Ship, I promise:

To always strive to maintain the highest standards of safety for my Ship and myself.
Always to strive for excellence for my Ship and myself.
Not to neither use alcohol or chemical substances nor associate with those who do.
I will use no profanity or abusive language..
I will not use Ship's functions as an excuse to my parents for any other activity.
I shall strive to perform in a manner that will bring honor to my Ship and myself.
